Step 1: Updated Letter to Pope with Generational Responsibility Integration
Your Holiness Pope Leo XIV,
Greetings in the Name of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and in the peace of His Son, Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Christ).
I write to you as a servant and fellow sojourner, burdened by the grievous reality that, for nearly two millennia, specific elements, groups, and individuals within Christianity have persecuted, vilified, and pogromed the Jewish people – our elder brothers and sisters in the covenant – often accusing them of rejecting Jesus as Messiah and God incarnate.
Though we, the believers of today, were not there in those centuries of violence, we acknowledge our generational responsibility for these sins, for it is written:
(Leviticus 26:40)
“They will confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers…”
(1 John 1:9)
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
(Mathew 5:23, 24)
Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has aught against you; Leave there your gift before the altar, and go your way; first, be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”
(James 5:16)
“Therefore, confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
“Sir, we humbly beseech you to lead the global Body of Christ in a universal call to confession, repentance, apology, and reconciliation for the sins committed against the Jewish people in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. May this act
- Break the generational curse of hatred that has shadowed the Gospel’s witness.
- Restore the honor of Yeshua’s name among the Jewish people who have seen it defamed by acts contrary to His teachings.
- Fulfill prophetic scripture
that nations shall come with weeping and supplication (Jeremiah 31:9) to seek reconciliation with Israel
Your Holiness, as the spiritual shepherd of over a billion souls, your voice carries the authority to initiate a sacred movement of repentance.
Such an act will echo through eternity, healing wounds, disarming accusations, and preparing the Bride of Christ to stand blameless in love.
May it be known that we confess not only our sins, but also the sins of our fathers, and seek forgiveness from our Jewish brethren.
May the words of Isaiah be fulfilled:
“Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem…” (Isaiah 40:1-2)
Note: In light of the growing anti-Jews sentiment and actions, particularly in Europe and the United States of America, of which you are ironically a citizen thereof, NOW, more than ever in world history, Abraham’s children need this unprecedented “Blessing” of “Comfort” being tenderly spoken to, i.e., Jerusalem, according to Genesis 12:1-3)
May your papacy be remembered as the era in which the Church humbled itself before Israel and thus found greater favor in the sight of the Holy One of Israel.
In reverence and hope,
