CORE must get involved NOW because the present Birthright Citizenship crisis is not merely an immigration matter — it is rapidly becoming the most important unresolved Civil Rights and Constitutional question since Reconstruction itself of all time.
This is the ultimate fight for our Actual Freedom as US Federalized Citizens, and given the forecasts and outlooks, it might be our last chance.
As America approaches its 250th anniversary, the Supreme Court stands poised to interpret the meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment’s phrase “All persons born…” while millions of Americans remain unaware that the citizenship legacy born of Emancipation and the Civil Rights Act of 1866 is under direct national scrutiny.
The world once marched together, crying “Black Lives Matter,” yet the underlying constitutional and moral questions remain unresolved. If CORE does not step into this historic moment, then one of the nation’s original Civil Rights organizations risks remaining silent during what may become the defining Civil Rights struggle of the 21st century.
This is not the hour for spectators.
This is the hour for awakening.
God bless America, that America may bless the world.
