The Compton Cricket Club, Cricket Ad-Venture: Trailer Note

Another “Straight Outta Compton” to the World Business Venture

A Founding Business Partnership Opportunity | 2027–2028 and Beyond

Looking for a novel, attention-getting way to promote your business as cricket returns to the Olympic Games at Los Angeles 2028? Looking for a partnership that gives your brand a prominent role, with spending tailored to your marketing objectives?

Well, we’ve got just the thing for you.

Compton Cricket Club invites individuals, local businesses, and national and international corporations to become founding partners in its next Cricket Ad-Venture: a proposed campaign combining international exhibition tours, original media content, customer promotions, and independent cricket events in Compton leading toward and during the 2028 Olympic period.

The opportunity begins with your business: the customers you want to reach, the attention you want to attract, and what you want your marketing expenditure to accomplish.

What your business can receive

CCC offers negotiated promotional benefits through activities and assets it controls:

  • Presenting recognition: prominent identification across agreed CCC campaign materials, exhibitions, tour communications, and digital channels.
  • Brand placement: agreed visibility on team apparel, equipment, event signage, and promotional materials.
  • Original storytelling: sponsor-supported player introductions, training updates, interviews, and tour films.
  • Customer engagement: agreed promotions, appearances, trackable links, promotional codes, and merchandise collaborations.
  • Business hospitality: opportunities to host customers, employees, and prospective clients at CCC exhibitions and receptions.
  • Community credibility: visible participation in mentoring and player development, supported by reporting on the work performed.

A founding partnership offers the opportunity to negotiate prominence from the campaign’s beginning. Packages can combine financial and in-kind support, with the scope adjusted to the partner’s budget.

We invite you to compare a costed CCC partnership with your other marketing options.

An established story behind the offer

CCC brings a foundation that a new promotional venture would have to build from scratch.

Co-founded by Ted Hayes and British Hollywood producer Katy Haber, CCC grew from the Los Angeles Krickets initiative begun in 1995. The Homies & the POPz carried their distinctive combination of cricket, cross-generational mentoring, and goodwill to Britain and Australia, including competition against Windsor Castle staff.

Overseas tours, competition victories, documentary recognition, and news attention established the public appeal of an unexpected American cricket story coming out of Compton.

The club’s history also includes encounters with prominent public figures and Ted Hayes’s informal sports-diplomacy work, including CCC’s encounter with Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness during Northern Ireland’s peace-process era. Supporting correspondence, photographs, and footage are being assembled for the historical packet.

Past recognition and endorsement will be identified separately from financial sponsorship. Any feature-film development will be described according to its confirmed current status.

That history gives prospective partners an established story around which to build a new campaign. Cricket’s return at Los Angeles 2028 provides the timely occasion for its next chapter.

Where is the new team?

CCC’s next-generation team has not yet been assembled. We are seeking founding sponsorship to recruit, equip, and train it on a credible financial foundation.

Prospective players deserve concrete arrangements before committing their time and energy: coaching, equipment, practice facilities, a realistic schedule, and a funded path toward exhibition competition.

Securing initial resources allows CCC to recruit with commitments it can substantiate. For a business partner, recruitment, training, player introductions, and preparation for international exhibitions can become part of an agreed promotional story.

The partnership would proceed through defined stages:

  1. Agree on the launch: establish the budget, recruitment plan, promotional benefits, and responsibilities.
  2. Recruit and introduce the players: provide opportunities for partners to meet selected participants and review the training plan.
  3. Demonstrate progress: report on training, content delivery, exhibition readiness, and host arrangements.
  4. Proceed with international exhibitions: release further support against agreed milestones and confirmed travel arrangements.

The agreement will address how funds are used and what happens if recruitment, travel, or event milestones are delayed.

The proposed campaign

CCC proposes an initial exhibition tour beginning in Australia or the Caribbean, targeting February 2027, subject to funding, player readiness, and confirmed host arrangements.

Pre-tour promotion would introduce participants and sponsors to prospective host communities through agreed media content and appearances. Exhibition matches would pair CCC with teams of comparable ability, combining competition with community encounters and shared celebrations.

Leading toward and during the 2028 Olympic period, CCC proposes independent cricket demonstrations and exhibitions in Compton. These could explain the game’s mechanics, welcome visiting cricket enthusiasts, and provide additional settings for sponsor participation.

A dedicated Compton playing facility remains a development objective, subject to site arrangements, financing, permits, and construction. Event commitments will reflect the facilities actually secured.

Accountability for your marketing expenditure

Before commitments are made, CCC and each partner will agree on:

  • The sponsorship amount and any in-kind contributions.
  • Specific promotional placements and content deliverables.
  • Delivery dates, approval procedures, and usage rights.
  • Any agreed category exclusivity.
  • Reporting measures and milestone reviews.

Reports can include delivered content, digital engagement, event attendance, customer inquiries, promotional responses, and independently verifiable media coverage.

CCC will pursue earned media using its history, participants, international relationships, and new activities. Historical coverage provides evidence of past interest; future coverage and customer response will be measured as they occur.

The community purpose behind the campaign

The proposed team will recruit American-born Black boys and men from the Los Angeles region, connected through at least one parent to descendants of people enslaved in the United States.

Cross-generational mentoring will connect younger players with adult mentors through cricket’s disciplines of preparation, truthful conduct, teamwork, patience, and respect.

Their message will be universal:

Peace on Earth. Goodwill toward all human beings.

The wider vision includes girls’ and women’s teams, school programs, mixed teams, community leagues, celebrity CricketBall events, cultural exchanges, and merchandise.

Beginning in America’s 250th anniversary year, this undertaking connects American heritage with international fellowship—and offers partners a meaningful community story to share with customers, employees, and their families.
