Compton Cricket Club Business Partnership Proposal For 2028, LA Olympics: Featuring Cricket

AN ESTABLISHED AMERICAN USA CRICKET LEGACY

“Strait Cricket Outta Compton”

I invite individuals, local businesses, and major corporations to join Compton Cricket Club’s next commercial venture. CCC brings more than three decades of youth development, overseas touring, and promotional experience. We offer a business partnership grounded in that record, with negotiated brand exposure and an opportunity to help build a lasting American contribution to world cricket.

A foundation established in 1995

Katy Haber, a British Hollywood film producer, and I began the LA Krickets at Dome Village in 1995. Compton outreach produced the Homies & the POPz. Our history records UK tours in 1995, 1997, 1999, and 2001; two British Cup victories in the Los Angeles Social Cricket Alliance; and an Australian tour in 2011. Matches included Windsor Castle staff, the Lord’s Taverners at Lord’s, and Lashings. [1]

These journeys required sponsors, host relationships, training, travel arrangements, and public promotion. That experience gives the next venture a practical foundation. Royal encounters and Northern Ireland outreach also form part of CCC’s sports diplomacy record. I regard our Belfast work as a small but meaningful contribution to reconciliation. [1]

A story that has already attracted attention

The Homies & the POPz and my wider work have also become documentary subjects. Joanne Shen’s Cricket Outta Compton won first place at the Black Maria Film Festival. [5] The Homies and the Popz is credited to Monica Magyarosy. [6] Heal America, featuring me, is directed by Yervand Kochar, also known as Von Kochar. [7] This film record gives prospective partners another way to examine the people and purpose behind CCC.

CCC’s press archive lists coverage from the BBC, TIME, ESPN Cricinfo, Australian ABC, SBS, and other outlets. [2] The published Dome Village history records Walt Disney acquiring movie rights after the 1995 tour; the project later went into turnaround. [3] From my own experience leading the tours, we held three news conferences at Lord’s Cricket Ground. We called the effort the CCC Homies & the POPz Cricket Ad-Venture, recognizing the promotional opportunity created by our unusual story.

That is the basis of my assessment of advertising potential. A new generation of Compton players, the American Cricketball concept, and cricket’s LA 2028 return give us fresh material for an international campaign. We will build on past attention through advance player videos, host promotion, and documented tour stories. Future coverage and its commercial value will depend on execution and audience response.

The next team and world tour

With funding, we intend to recruit Black boys and men from Compton, South Central Los Angeles, and surrounding communities. Cross-mentoring will connect younger and older players as they learn cricket’s mechanics and etiquette. Our target kickoff is February 2027 in Australia or the Caribbean, subject to readiness and confirmed hosts, followed by prearranged exhibition visits. Opponents will suit the team’s developing ability, with both sides celebrating the occasion together.

A business relationship with personal meaning

Partners can negotiate CCC branding on uniforms, tour content, and event materials; presenting rights; merchandise collaborations; and hospitality or customer engagement. Packages can include opportunities for families and employees to meet players and see the program develop. A partner can point to the training, travel, or community activity their contribution made possible, and share that accomplishment with loved ones.

I believe our record supports a compelling promotional opportunity for businesses of different sizes. We will match each contribution to specific benefits and report delivery, content views, attendance where measurable, and mentoring activity. The objective is efficient exposure connected to a story audience who have previously found it worth following.

The USA at 250 and the road to LA 2028

Our family’s Olympic connection is personal. My daughter, Joanna D. Hayes, won gold in the women’s 100-meter hurdles at the 2004 Athens Games and now leads UCLA as Director of Track & Field/Cross Country. [8] I helped carry the 2002 Olympic torch as a support runner. [9]

In the USA’s 250th anniversary year, I want CCC to help carry the country’s next chapter abroad through friendship, civility, and opportunity. Sponsors can help give young Americans a role in that story and build something their families can take pride in beyond a single anniversary or sporting event.

If funded and approved, the Compton venue would include a small grandstand, portable bleachers, a sports bar or hospitality space, restrooms, and parking. During the LA 2028 period, it would host village-style exhibitions, explain cricket’s mechanics, and invite overseas opponents for rematches. Olympic T20 cricket is planned for Pomona. [4] CCC’s Compton program would offer complementary community experience through its own events.

An enterprise designed to continue

The proposed CCC International Enterprise Conglomerate would develop Cricketball, my American expression of cricket, into a city-based league involving rap and hip-hop entertainers, girls’ and women’s teams, community participation, and branded merchandise. Tour relationships could become continuing exchanges. League rules, celebrity participation, licensing, and commercial structures would be developed by agreement.

We intend to seek Presidential endorsement or commissioning, State Department cooperation, royal visits, and a Windsor Castle return match. These are objectives requiring confirmation. Institutional branding and Olympic commercial rights require separate authorization.

Begin with a defined partnership

Financial and in-kind partners can support equipment, coaching, facilities, media production, or tour logistics. We will agree to a priced scope, deliverables, milestones, reporting, and arrangements if plans change. Equity or profit-sharing investment would require separate terms. Contact me to discuss your business goals and the part you would like to help build.
