I haven’t heard this kind of honesty from the Hispanic/Latino community since having Prof. Nicholaus Vargus on the radio broadcast that I hosted a few years ago. What, brutal honesty! Since the late 90’s, I have advocated for this kind of discussion between members of the Hispanic/Latino community and they of they whom are the descendants of chattel slaves-Jim Crow survivors, i.e., Negroes – black Hametic in Spanish, the colored peoples, erroneously and fatally dubbed “African-American.” In 2005, when hundreds of thousands of primarily citizens of the United Mexican States (Mexico) whom were/are within the geo-political borders of the United States without legal permission from the proper federal authorities, suddenly exposed their formerly shadowy illegal existence, even then I sought dialogue with the leadership of the La Raza driven community of Americans to avail. It was then, that I discovered and was shocked at the general anti-black animosity and sentiment deeply rooted in whom I thought was my brown brothers.
