Continued from part I... No Excuses! What a profound question that must be answered, Just what is wrong with Black Peoples?
Without making any excuses,
but rather attempting to explain what has caused this
apparent
implosion of what is commonly accepted as the forced
“African-American/Black Community".
When addressing the state, fate of the DOCS, the following related issues must be taken into consideration, they are:
How do you think your particularly ethno-racial-nationality would act or respond to such treatment? What do you think any descendants, Black, White, or otherwise of such would be like? Wouldn’t you want special laws to protect you and your descendants until the wrongs can be fully corrected?
In other words, the aftermath of generations of chattel slavery and its suceeding consequences. In fact, all things considered, not only is their behavior merely human as any others would be, but it is a miracle of GOD that we have done a well as we have.
Therefore, before we correctly judge the horrible deeds of certain few children (teens) of the DOCS, and proceed to condemn them and their peoples as “no-good”, please take into consideration your own reactions if your family had been so mistreated.
In fact, to answer that, all we need to do is view the example of our founding fathers, who considered themselves as oppressed, tax-slaves and chose in the Name of GOD to wage a bloody war to free themselves from it. If they would not tolerate general slavery, there is no way that you nor the founding fathers would passively accept chattel slavery, as did the captured Africans.
If The Chains Were On Your Immigrnt Ancestors! On the other hand though, perhaps, no people who are entrapped in a slave system so debilitating and dehumanizing as chattel slavery could indeed rise as the free, educated, financially secure founding fathers and their followers of free peoples such as the Patriot colonist who are of an ancestry of willing immigrants. A juge difference that must be considered!
Well, no doubt, that when the wise, Radical Republican led US Congress legislated over the resistance of the Democratic Party, the 14th Amendment by which the Civil Rights Act of 1866 was codified into the Constitution, they had taken consideration the devastating impact that 235 years of chattel slavery would have on succeeding generations of the slaves...the aftermath.
In fact, if what we are witnessing with this generation is disturbing, according to the trends, as a nation, we are yet to see even greater evidence of generational devastation from resulting from the aftermath of chattel slavery.
This is precisely why the Republicans legislated Section 2 of the ACT to prevent any new laws or especially customs from undermining the ultimate purpose of Section 1, which grants the freed Chattel Slaves and their descendants as well as those of the Freemen, US “equal justice under the law” (Equal Protection laws) citizenship “as is enjoyed by White citizens”.
They intellectually, emotionally, pyschologically and spiritually knew that it would literally take generations of hard, smart and GOD-Blessed work to rectify the grave damages done to an innocent and victimized peoples, regardless of their race.
