Hello Ms Alexander,
I recently viewed your participation in a panel discussion on the 14th amendment, during the talk I listened as you commented that the 14th amendment offers an opportunity for bridge building for Black Americans and Hispanic/Latinos.

With all due respect, can I ask under what morale authority you offer 14th amendment recognition to illegal aliens?

Can I suggest that the sacrifices made by those who shed their blood, the men who fought the Civil War, and the slaves mired in slavery, are not yours are mine to give away.............

As to the idea of bridge building for Blacks and Latinos, can I direct you to Nicholas Vaca's book "The Presumed Alliance:
"The unspoken Conflict between Blacks and Latinos". To paraphrase Mr. Vaca, Blacks must learn to accept that Latinos have seized power
(overwhelming numbers; both anchor babies and illegal immigrants) and will excercize that power in their (Latinos) own best interest.

In short, Mr Vaca reveals that there is NO ALLIANCE!!
I plead with you that offering an olive branch to a group whose existence in our country in the numbers here illegally spells the death of Blacks in America.

While I could bolster my position by offering the names of Black victims murdered across the US at the hands of Hispanic/Latinos; That narrative
is quite upsetting.

let me instead offer this; the illegal immigrant invasion has negatively affected our schools through overcrowding, racial tension
and the diverting of already paltry resources to ESL kids. Much class time is spent offering language clarification to immigrant kids reducing learning time for US citizens.

Are you aware Black kids already lead the nation in most negative statistics relating to education?

Which directly feeds the Black community's 22% unemployment rate, the highest in the nation.

While I applaud your efforts to a more humane world, please remember the admonition that charity begins at home.

My regards,

Terrance for
