The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law...which is service to humanity.
All nations throughout the history of the world, periodically are confronted with nation-threatening times thereby triggering a call to their youths, especially males to "man" the frontlines of its defense.
Such calls are usually for military conflicts, whereby these young men bear uniform and arms to wage war upon the enemies of their nation's interest.
Example: The United States of wages several wars from its first, that is the 1776 Revolution; the 1812 British-USA; Mexican-American; Civil War, i.e., the Southern Confederate Rebellion, or the Presidential, Executive Order To End Chattel Slavery War; those notorious and infamous Indian Wars from 1776 and peaking in the 1880’s; Spanish-American War; WWI; WWII; Korean; Vietnam; Granada; Panama; Afghanistan; Iraq wars; etc.
During WWI (April 6,1917-November 11,1918) the new, fledgling Boys Scouts of America significantly assisted our nation’s effor by helping to sraising war bonds, and later for WWII (December 7,1941-late April/early May 1945). Also, during WWII, many in then more advanced youth movement of 31 years (1910-1941) went into US military service ("...to help other people at all times...") to defeat the Hitler Youth turned- soldiers of the Nazi German forces.
From those threatening years
until the present, the

The American military cannot survive the challenges of the 21st century without the preparatory support of the Boy Scouts of America.
Millions of our bravest heroes in uniform – thousands who have given their lives in every war since World War I – wore their first uniform as a Boy Scout.
Nearly every person who actively participated in Scouting as a youth testify that before they wore the uniform of the US military uniform, they first donned that of the Boys Scouts of America, which in many ways was their inspiration to arms in defense of our country’s ideals., obviously served as inspiration to inspiration
While most attention is placed upon the rank of Eagle, most of the young military men who have experienced Scouting ranged(s) from Scout, Tenderfoot, 2nd and 1st Classes and Life, along with those of the Explorers and Sea Scouts.

Therefore, together, we implement and deploy the ideals of our Boys Scout Law, Motto, Slogan and Oath to the crisis of our county and those of all the nations of Earth.
